More Highway 10

A Tuesday morning trip to Owatonna gave another chance at some railfanning on the road. Traffic was light on the Staples Sub, but between St. Cloud and Clear Lake a train finally showed up. As seems to be the pattern on weekday mornings, it was a stopped eastbound on Main 1.


After taking a moment to shoot this train, I decided to continue on down the line and cut across to the Interstate at Monticello. Turned out to be a good decision, as another eastbound was sitting near the potato farm. This time it was crude oil tanks.


That was it for Tuesday. I did get a glimpse of a few UP trains passing through Owatonna, but there was no chance to get a shot. Heck, who's interested in those yellow locos anyway? Actually, next time I just might share a shot of one.
